Luxe Magazine

Case Study

Luxe Ottawa Magazine is Coyle Publishing’s brand new luxury lifestyle publication for affluent readers with discerning taste in décor, fashion, travel, design, automotive and dining.
Luxe Magazine

Challenge

Coyle Publishing, a successful publisher in Ottawa, needed to create a luxury product for the Ottawa elite which would not only entertain, delight and inform, but also attract enough advertisers to make the venture an ongoing commercial success for its very first edition.
Luxe Magazine

Insight

In an environment where print is struggling to maintain its relevance in a digital world, any new entry into the magazine world would not only have to instantly attract its intended readership, but retain it, as Ottawa is too small a town for a large turnover of readership, a solid base is necessary.
Luxe Magazine

Strategy

Design a brand that appeals to Ottawa’s luxury mavens; readers who are business and political professionals who are engaged, influential & powerful. With an even split of male & female, the brand must have a look and feel, tone and content that appeals to upscale Ottawa. Collaborate closely and cohesively with the magazine Editor, Janet Wilson, to develop the logo, masthead, brand standards, cover design, page layouts, content, copywriting, illustration, production, photography, sub editing, and advertisement designs. Amplify the magazine with a complementary website, social media, video and extravagant launch party that will showcase the brand and its elite lifestyle content through glitz and glamour.
