Award-winning Creative Director Kevan Kalyan joins the blackiron team

We’re thrilled to welcome Kevan Kalyan in the key role of Creative Director as Blackiron embarks on an exciting period of growth. During his 21-year career, Kevan has helped elevate brands including Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism, Nova Scotia Tourism, Parks Canada, Emirates Airlines, Atlantic Lotto, College of the North Atlantic, United Way Halifax, Patagonia Halifax, Maple Leaf Foods, Kings Wharf Developments, Medavie Blue Cross, and Harris East Condos, to name a few.

Kev not only approaches each job with a strategic lens, but also likes to push ideas as far as they can go so that his clients’ dollars work harder and go further. He feels very strongly that every touchpoint is an opportunity for a brand to break through the clutter and has helped to build numerous brands at agencies in Dubai, Halifax, Newfoundland and Labrador, and now Ottawa.

Kev also volunteers his time on multiple industry awards juries. He recently judged the 2021 Marketing Awards and currently sits on the ULTRABOLD Awards committee.
