blackiron helps Ottawa’s relationship with the Netherlands blossom

A delegation of 20 Ottawa business and tourism leaders recently completed a five-day economic mission to the Netherlands to strengthen ties — and blackiron’s fingerprints were all over the event.

Working with Ottawa Tourism, blackiron developed an identity inspired by the tulip, a symbol of the city’s relationship with the Netherlands — as each year they gift  thousands of tulips to Ottawa in gratitude for having sheltered the Dutch royal family during World War 2. We also wrote the tagline, let’s grow together, which reflects the future economic opportunities between the city and the Netherlands.

The brand was prominently displayed at every stage of the trip — beginning with event invitations and extending through all event assets — from signage to the menu, presentations, programs and videos.

We’re proud to have played a role in helping strengthen relations with the Netherlands by doing what we do best — bringing brands to life.
