blackiron partners with The Sens Foundation to showcase Off-Ice Prospects

OTTAWA (January 16th, 2020) – Blackiron agency was proud to be selected to partner with the Sens and the Sens Foundation for the 2019-2020 season to highlight work they collectively do for the youth in our community.

‘The Team’ (the Sens Foundation and Senators Hockey Club) are committed to supporting the mental and physical health of youth in the Ottawa-Gatineau region and chose to partner with Blackiron on their 2019-2020 campaign.

The Team’s objective was to garner even more support for their efforts and put a spotlight on some inspiring work happening off-the-ice. They came to Blackiron with a feel-good brief that inspired our team.

We decided to place the stars of this chosen campaign up front and centre. We positioned the youth as Top Prospects, just like those sought out by hockey scouts. The campaign highlighted our Top prospects’ ‘stats’ and how programs by the Sens Foundation – with support from the community – helps them achieve their full potential. Blackiron crafted an integrated campaign that championed Sens Foundation children through a custom video and photo shoot, a web landing page, TV commercials, in-game videos, radio spots, digital, social media content and posts, and print ads. The campaign culminated when the videos served as a centrepiece for the annual Senators Soirée fundraising gala on Nov. 23, 2019.

By focusing on our Top Prospects’ strengths, the campaign empowered children and motivated the public to invest in their bright futures. Blackiron was committed to creating the outcome of providing youth and the Sens Foundation deliverables that were both effective and inspiring.
